Introducing Chelmsford Chiropractor Dr. Mark Chiungos

Chelmsford Chiropractor, Dr. Mark ChiungosThe inner workings of the human body have held a tremendous fascination for me as far back as I can remember. It was a common family practice to receive a rudimentary form of muscle therapy whenever one had a body complaint.

My mother was a strong advocate of proper nutrition and to her credit always prepared something nutritious for us at each meal (even though as a child I begged for hot dogs and chips).

I was influenced early on by TV exercise legend Jack LaLane (Now I know I’m getting older) and would watch his show faithfully (mainly to see his German Shepard Max). I have kept exercise as part of my physical culture and make my experience and knowledge available to my patients if they are so inclined. It is without surprise that core training is now considered essential in spinal rehabilitation and may be the true fountain of youth.
I have had both dramatic and subtle experiences with Chiropractic. I will never forget the instant relief I experienced after that first chiropractic adjustment (after a college football injury). Although my relief came quickly with my first chiropractic adjustment it was at least a year of Chiropractic care and core strengthening exercise before I made a complete recovery with my low back injury during my post college years as a building contractor.

During my prolonged recovery I realized that I had to create good health every day if I wanted to have wellness in my future. I was excited and wanted to learn more about exercise, nutrition and health. I made a decision to start upon a career in Chiropractic because it was a hands’ on approach that incorporated my interests and helped by utilizing the body’s innate ability to heal naturally.

Currently, I am practicing solo in Chelmsford, MA (my home town that I love – Go Lions). I balance my practice between, caring for patients, administration and advanced study. I love to bring new assessments and treatment to my patients. I try to be on the cutting edge because that’s what it’s about for me. I will be forever grateful to the pioneers of Chiropractic for the advances they have made and it is one of my goals to perpetuate this spirit.

I am married to Tatyana who has been a tremendous friend, wife, supporter of chiropractic and the mother of our two children Marina and Samuel. We all look forward to adjustments and now my daughter entertains us with imitations of me adjusting other family members. The children have been adjusted since birth and seem to be thriving. I am passing on my love of study and play to my children in hopes that they will be strong and healthy and able enough to create their futures.

I am extremely interested in you, your health and the particular health challenges that you might bring to my clinic. I promise I will always listen, examine and care for you appropriately, answer any of your questions or offer guidance when asked. I respect your decisions about your health and care. Dr. Mark Asks some important questions of interest to Chelmsford residents - Chiropractor Chelmsford Dr. Mark Asks...

How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Chelmsford encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Chelmsford folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
